Equipment Share Program

The number 1 killer of small farms is negative return on equity. Equipment is expensive, but essential. Despite how important equipment is, most of it is only used a few times per year. Some items are only used once a few years, but when those items are needed, the farmer cannot make due without them. Most farmers are eager to share, but that means the added expense and time of hauling equipment between farms.

So, how does Farm-1-1 facilitate the sharing of equipment:

  • We maintain a list of available equipment
  • We repair and maintain the equipment as needed
  • We teach farmers proper use of the equipment
  • We haul the equipment between farms

Currently Available Equipment Includes:

  • Mahindra, 40HP tractor and the following attachments:
  • backhoe, tiller, road grader, box cutter, shredder, toolbar, disk harrow, hay bail spear, post hole digger, seed spreader, bucket, and forklift
  • Bumper Pull Trailers: 16 foot flatbed, 4 cubic yard dump, and livestock

Equipment we need:

  • Seed drill
  • Wood chipper
  • Welding machine
  • Pneumatic Post Driver
  • Gooseneck Flatbed Trailer
