National Resource Conservation Service (NRCA), a department of the USDA, offers financial and technical assistance. Among their many services, they send engineers to your farm to evaluate infrastructure problems (like drainage, erosion or  roads) and plan a professional solution free of charge. Sometimes they are able to help financially with the utilization of their plans.


Farm Service Agency (FSA) is a department of the USDA. They offer financial assistance in the form of loans and grants. Raecene Randall is the regional loan manager for central Texas. 


Web Soil Survey gives you a detailed description of your land including maps, erosion patterns, soil information, drainage information and much more. 


Rural Development Department of the USDA assists with a variety of programs for rural development.
